Beautyworld Japan started in 1998 in Tokyo. Since then, the fair expanded its size and increased the number of locations. In 2006 the show was expanded to Osaka, in 2014 started in Fukuoka and the Nagoya edition was added in 2023.

In 2024, a key feature of the all four trade fairs was that 90% of the visitors were from Japan. About 70% of total visitors were aesthetic, nail, and eyelash salon owners as well as technicians. 8,000+ professional buyers were looking for overseas products. The show provides numerous opportunities to expand businesses with not only Japanese exhibitors and visitors, but also from Asia and alike.
